Your Wedding Isn't a Transaction
Some couples want tradition — the full script, the vows they’ve heard since childhood, a moment that feels like every wedding they’ve ever attended. Others want ten minutes, two signatures, and dinner. Both are real weddings, and both deserve someone who takes the moment seriously.
I officiate in English, in Spanish, or in both — switching between languages so that the grandmother who flew in from Maracaibo and the college roommate from Dallas both understand what’s happening. That matters at a wedding more than almost anywhere else.
The Marriage License
Both parties must appear together at any Texas County Clerk to apply, with valid photo ID and Social Security number. Texas imposes a 72-hour waiting period between issuing the license and the ceremony, and the license is valid for 90 days. After the ceremony, I complete and return it to the County Clerk within the 30-day legal deadline.
